Shopping

We hope you enjoy your shopping experience at the UConn Co-op and Husky Direct online store. Our site offers the latest official UConn and Husky merchandise. Our Home Page features products and departments that we hope you will find exciting.

To locate merchandise:

• Choose an appropriate department from the navigation bar on the left.
• Use the Search box to search for a product by name, description, or web ID.
• Click a manufacturer icon to look at products by your favorite maker.
• Click a size option at the bottom of the homepage to search for your special size.

Each department offers two views, for your convenience:

• The first view is called "Thumbnails" and contains rows of miniature product images that you may click for details.
• The second view is called "Details" and contains a neat list of products with descriptions and prices.

To switch from one view to the other, click the view name to the right of the department title at the top of the page. From either view, click a product image to see more details about the product.

Every product page shows you all the information we have about the featured item. The information includes the web ID, product photo, product name, description, and price. Additionally, some product pages offer these additional features:

• Attributes. Some items may require you to select one or two attributes. If you must make a selection, a box labeled "Select Product Attributes" will appear on the page. Typically, your choices may include size and color.
• Additional product photos. Some product photos are accompanied by additional photo icons. You may click these icons to see more pictures of the product. The pictures may be enlargements of the main product photo, or additional angles, reverses, etc.
• Sale information. When a product is on sale, an icon appears next to the product name. The sale price and your savings are shown with the regular price of the product. (Some promotions may not display until the product is added to your shopping cart.)
• Related products. Some items, particularly articles of clothing, are available in larger sizes, such as 2XL, 3XL, and 4XL. Some manufacturers charge extra for the larger sizes, so products with these more expensive larger sizes are displayed with a box that says “Also Available In:” with a description of the size and price of each. If you wish to view one of the larger-size items, click its description in that box. Note that you will be charged the price for the size chosen.
• Recommended products. Sometimes we offer products that just go together. If we think you may be interested in a similar product, we will list our recommendations at the bottom of the page.

Your Shopping Bag is created as you add items by clicking the "Add to Bag" button. As you shop, note the miniature Shopping Bag at the top right of the page—it tells you how many items are in your bag and the subtotal of those items (before tax and shipping). To view your bag at any time, click the View... button that accompanies the miniature bag. From the Shopping Bag page, you may remove or change the quantity of items in your bag.

When you are ready to make your purchase, click the Check Out button in the miniature shopping cart, or visit the Shopping Bag page to first review your order.

For your convenience, our site uses cookies to keep track of the items in your shopping bag. The cookie never shares any personal information about you. The site may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

Returns and Exchanges

Our merchandise is of the highest quality. However, should you for some reason not be fully satisfied, please return the merchandise within 30 days of receipt. We will promptly refund the purchase price less shipping and handling. Merchandise should be packed and taped securely and must still have tags attached and, if clothing, not have been worn or washed. Please include the packing slip and note of explanation. Items must be returned prepaid and we suggest you insure the shipment. If you would like to exchange your item, please enclose $7.00 for shipping fee. Please address packages to:

Shipping & Handling Information

Based on your order subtotal, shipping and handling rates are determined as follows:

• Standard shipping is $4.99 on items without special shipping charges.
• UPS 2nd Day, shipping is $15.00
• UPS Next Day, shipping is $25.00.
• For orders shipped to international, Alaskan, or Hawaiian addresses, choose the International shipping option. Charge is $26.00.

If your order includes items with special shipping charges, such as the Diploma Frames, those charges will be assessed for each item when you place your order. Shipping amount is listed in the product description.

Shipping charges include shipping, handling, packaging, and insurance. When you place your order, select standard shipping (the computer will automatically choose $7 or $9 standard shipping based on your order total) or one of the other shipping options and we will do the rest.

For non-expedited orders (where the "Standard" shipping option is chosen), our usual processing time is 24-72 hours after receipt of order. Orders placed after 2pm will not begin the order fulfillment process until the next business day, at which time the 24-72 hour turnaround clock begins. Please note that the processing time may be delayed by a few days during the holiday season (between Thanksgiving and New Years), and if there is a national championship (April 1-May1). Those orders completed for shipping after 3pm on Friday, cannot be shipped until the following Monday. We ship UPS ground; please allow 7-10 business days for delivery. At this time Saturday and Sunday deliveries are not available.

Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, custom duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an International shipment may be subject to these fees and they must be borne by the recipient. The UConn Co-op and Husky Direct are not responsible for these fees. Custom policies vary widely from country to country. You should contact your local Customs office for further information.

Priority Shipping Note

Priority shipping requests by customers results in a mail order company targeting a package for special handling by a freight carrier. This charge, which we pass on to our customers, usually reduces the transportation time from us to its destination. We usually position these orders in a priority group for processing through the various stages of completion. Next Day and 2nd Day orders placed before 2pm EST (Monday-Friday) will be processed and shipped within 24-48 hours. Next Day and 2nd Day orders placed after 2pm EST will not begin processing until the next business day and be shipped within 24-48 from that time. 2nd Day orders will be delivered in 2 business days after completion of processing. Next Day orders will be delivered the next business day after completion of processing.
